Lena Ray Hoyle

Lena Ray Hoyle passed away July 20, 2015 at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

            Lena was born in Shelby Cleveland County, North Carolina on July 14, 1928 to Dule and Nell (Toney) McFarland. She was raised and educated in Double Shoals, North Carolina. She married Flay Hoyle on March 13, 1947 in South Carolina that union blessed them with two daughters Lola, and Martha.

            Lena worked the textile mills her entire working life. She retired from Standard Coosa Thather in Cherry Ville, North Carolina. After her retirement she would spend 6 months in Montana with her daughter Lola and 6 months in North Carolina with her other daughter Martha. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, and rock collecting.

            She is survived by her daughters Lola (Larry) Nell of Havre, Montana; and Martha (Ray) Davis of Marion, North Carolina as well as her sister Betty (John) Greene of Lawndale, North Carolina.

            She is preceded in death by her husband Flay Hoyle and her parents Dule and Nell McFarland and 3 sisters.

Services will be announced at a later time. Montana Arrangements were handled by Hi-Line Funeral Services of Havre and North Carolina Arrangements are being handled by Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston North Carolina. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery in Fallston North Carolina.
